Wynona Batson

Wynona Jones Batson, age 77, of Clarksville, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Baggett officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The Batson family will be receiving friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 12 noon until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Wynona entered into this life on June 8, 1936 in Montgomery County, daughter to the late Jesse and Elsie Mai Morrow Jones. She worked in a career as the Regional Director for the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Also, Wynona was a loving wife and mother and a joyful and humble Christian lady. She was a member of the church family at Bible Baptist Church.
She leaves behind her husband of over 59 years, Robert E. "Bob" Batson of Clarksville; her children, Tommy Batson and wife Toni of Clarksville, Bobby Batson and wife Ruby of Clarksville, and Dr. Jim Batson and wife Andrea of Cookeville; and sister Nancy Dorris of Knoxville. She was the loving and doting grandmother of J.T. and wife Stacy, Adam, Jessica, Kevin, Ellie, and Megan Batson and great grandmother to Rylee Nicholson.
Serving as pallbearers are J.T. Batson, Adam Batson, Kevin Batson, Trevor Batson, Shawn Mee, and Rick Cochran.
