Willie Summers

Willie Gladys Buckner Summers, 80, Clarksville, died Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Bobby Kail officiating. Burial will be in Little Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and from 11 AM until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. She was born July 5, 1930 in Sparta, TN the daughter of the late Joe B. Henry and Birdie Jewell Whiteacre. She was preceeded in death by first husband, Carl B. Buckner. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include; husband, John H. Summers, Clarksville, sons; Carl B. Buckner (Sue), Dickson, Lee R. Buckner (Jean), Huntsville, AL, daughter; Jean McDaniel(Jerrell), Clarksville, brother;Charles Henry, Clarksville, sisters; Cynthia Bumbalough, Minnie Steele, both of Peoria, Ill, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Jerrell McDaniel, Ricky McDaniel, Michael McDaniel, Michael Shawn Rhodes, David Buckner, Jordan Buckner, Derrick Barnes, and Matthew Barnes.
