CSM (Ret) William Holten Scott, 77, Clarksville, died Monday, July 21, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesdsay and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. He was born March 2, 1931 in Pasadena, CA and was the son of the late James Long Scott and Ida May Holt Scott. Scott was a retired CSM with the U.S. Army where he was the recepient of the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Metal, Army Commendation, Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service, Vietnam Service and campaign medals, Good Conduct (9), and a Master Parachutist Badge. He was a member of the W K & T Assoc., the 11th Airborne and the 187th. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Clark Scott; son, William H. (Debbie) Scott Jr., daughters, Debra (Roger) Pinkley, Peggy (Gary) Sumner, Cathy (Steve) Pearce, all of Clarksville, and Brenda Goldsborough, Fayetteville, NC; 11 grandchildren, those who live locally are, Brian Scott, Thomas Scott, Brant Poindexter, Scott Pearce and Donna Mizelle and 13 great-grandchildren.
