William Paul Peavy, age 78, passed away from COVID on September 11, 2021. Paul was born January 10, 1943, in Brewton, Alabama to Norman and Kathryn Peavy. He served 22 years in the Army, including Vietnam, retiring in 1982. He also served 25 years as a civil service employee at Fort Campbell, retiring in 2009.
In addition to his parents, Paul is predeceased by his stepfather, Henry T. Simmons; two brothers, Ray Peavy and Randy Simmons, and infant granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Morrow Peavy, daughter Vashti (Brian) Gaskill, grandson Austin Gaskill, stepson Warren Hill (Jessica Blackford), and other relatives.
A private service will be held at a later date.
