William Oliver

William Oliver, 67, Palmyra, died Monday, August 18, 2008, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Slayden Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Green officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born January 1, 1941 in Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Oliver and Lena Irene Miller Oliver and two brothers. Mr. Oliver was a Baptist, a driver for MDI Trucking and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Vernice Bradford Oliver, Palmyra; sons, Larry Oliver, Jerry Oliver, both of Clarksville, Daniel Oliver, Cumberland Furnace; daughters, Loretta Dunn-Hall, Cumberland Furnace, Dianne Sauers, Clarksville; grandchildren, Dan H. Dunn, Blake H. Dunn, Cole H. Dunn, Phillip Austin Hall, Tony Sauers, Destin Sauers, Breanna Sauers, Cody Oliver, Dylan Oliver, Dean Oliver, Gavin Oliver and Tia Oliver. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
