William B. “Bill” McCurdy, age 79, of Cumberland Furnace, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at St. Thomas West following complications from surgery.
A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. David Mackens officiating.
Bill entered into this life on July 16, 1941, in Montgomery County, TN, to the late J.G. and Cleo Plummer McCurdy. Bill was the proud owner of Clarksville Moving and Storage Inc. and was a member of Community Church.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Robert McCurdy; sisters, Margaret Smith, Katherine Gibbs, Joyce Matthews.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Hodges McCurdy; daughters, Dawne (Mike) Smith, Darla (Mike) Murphy; grandson, Bryan (Faith Carol) Smith; sisters, Jean (Bob) Thomas, Peggy (Billy) Groves.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of his service as a trustee, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund C/O Dawne Smith, 5920 Buckner Road, Cumberland Furnace, 37051.
