Mr. Bill Johnson 60, of Ashland City died Saturday October 13, 2007 at his residence. Services to be announced by the funeral. William (Bill) Dorris Johnson, 60, Ashland City, died Saturday, October 13, 2007, at home. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Chaplain Marshall Gupton officiating. Burial will be in Sheppard's Cemetery, Stroudsville, TN. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bill was born October 20, 1946 in Stewart County the son of the late William Thomas Johnson and Gustie Kirkland Johnson. He was a masonry worker and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife Freda Cole Johnson of Ashland City, sons William Scotty Johnson and Norman Thomas Johnson, both of Ashland City, daughter Ona Kay Bell of Ashland City, brother Jimmy Dell Johnson of Woodlawn, sisters Janie Lewis of Clarksville, Ruth Diane Mann of Clarksville, Barbara Ann Hall of Michigan, Peggy Louise Elders of Wisconsin, fourteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Lee Bell, Joshua Bryan Bell, Billy Joe Bowers, Arnie Bowers, James Lee "Peppie" Ross, and William Courtney Johnson.
