William Freeman

William Eugene "Willie"Freeman, age 79, of Guthrie, KY, formerly of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN. He was born September 5, 1929, in Clark County, the son of the late Hardy Ambrose & Verna Irene Cox Freeman. Willie was a 1957 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, a retired Certified Public Accountant and a United States Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorene Jester & Lola Cathrine Freeman. Willie is survived by his life partner, KiKi Garrett of Guthrie, KY, one son, Mark Freeman of Guthrie, KY, three daughters, Gail Harris of Woodlawn, TN, Brenda Freeman of Bowling Green, KY and Maria Garrett of Indianapolis, IN, one brother, Bill Freeman of Bismarck, three sisters, Liz Guffey of Kansas, OK, Mary Chambers and Thelma Dixon both of Arkadelphia, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2009, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Freeman officiating. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday. Pallbearers will be Doyle Dixon, Ed Guffey, Jimmy Chambers, Larry Jester, James Ernie Freeman and Randy Dixon.
