William Roscoe Brooks

William Roscoe Brooks, age 88, of Erin, TN, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Horizon Medical in Dickson, TN.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Kevin Sugg and Heath Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Family Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday morning.

Roscoe entered this life on March 17, 1936 in Erin, TN, son to the late Rodney Earl Brooks and Ollie Lee Allsbrooks Brooks. Roscoe was a lifelong farmer who retired from Southern Gage after 40 years of service. He had a love for coon hunting, woodworking, working in his garden, and his Hank Williams music. However, his true love was spending time with his family, especially, his grandchild, and great-grandchildren; he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Roscoe was preceded in death by his siblings, Melvin Brooks, Mildred Sugg, Robert Brooks, and Thelma Brooks Felts.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Anna Earline Brooks; children, William Roscoe Brooks Jr, (Clysta), Sherri Jackson (Terry), Judy Wood (Lee); sisters, Edith Adams, and Evelyn Burgess (Lloyd). Roscoe also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Dylan Wood (Kaitlin), Carrie McCarty (Nick), Brooke Nolen (Blake), Colter Jackson, Marybeth Sheldon (Dustin), Nathan Jackson (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Mayley, James, Stella, Jordyn, Avery, Ali, Jacklynn, Jayce, and Lily.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Wood, Colter Jackson, Blake Nolen, Nick McCarty, Berry Sugg, Randy Eads, Fred Clark, and Cass Rye II.
