William Broadbent

William Austin Broadbent, 78, Clarksville, died Monday, August 11, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Brian Scott McKinney officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born November 8, 1929 in Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Austin Broadbent and Dorothy Sleigh Broadbent, and his sister, JoAnn Wall. Mr. Broadbent retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Virgnia Hendrick Broadbent; son, William Broadbent Jr.; daughter, Glenda Broadbent (Wilton) McKinney; sisters, Patsy Elam and Faye Britt, all of Clarksville; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
