William Bourne, Jr.

William H. (Sonny) Bourne Jr., 72, Clarksville, died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Roy Mullens officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Trenton, KY. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born March 7, 1936 in Montgomery County, TN son of William Henry Bourne Sr. and Maggie Lyle Bourne. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James R. Bourne, Billy Dean, sisters, Bernice Lamb, Lessie Posey, Frances Roderick and Victoria Dean. Mr. Bourne was a Baptist and a self employed electrician. Survivors include his wife, Martha Arlena Covington Bourne; sons, William Gary Bourne and Jonathan Jay Bourne; daughters, Janet Elizabeth O'Keefe, Peggy Loraine Lavell and Wanda Denise Haydon, all of Clarksville; fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Family will serve as pallbearers.
