William Devlin Borden “Nubbin”, age 71 of Clarksville, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his residence.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral home with Pastor Lenny Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday at the funeral home.
William was born on May 15, 1942 in McMinn County, the son of Riley Borden and Tressie Borden. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Borden and his son, Cody Borden. He retired from CDE as a lineman and General Forman and was a member of The River Church.
He is survived by son, Tony Borden; daughters, Pamela Denton, Lisa Thabet, Freda Edwards, Regina Weedon, and Cindy Andrew; brothers, Charlie Borden and Paul Borden; sister, Josephine Ellison; 23 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Roberts, Chad Price, Brett Price, Cyle Andrew, Jared Andrew, Billy Edwards, Aaron Denton and Bryan Perry.
