William Edward Bell, age 83, of Clarksville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 8, 2013.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. James Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Sango Cemetery.
The Bell family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Additionally, a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
William entered into this life on March 21, 1930 in Crockett County, TN, son to Henry Grady Bell and Altie M. Brasford Bell. He was retired from a career as an automotive mechanic. As a young man he served in the U.S. Air Force. William had dual masonic membership at the Palmyra Masonic Lodge and the Queen City Lodge in Clarksville. He was an Al Menah Temple Shriner and a Scottish Rite Mason. William loved his Lord and was a member of the church family at St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife, Faye Walraven Bell of Clarksville; sons, James E. Bell and wife Sheila of Hopkinsville, Roger Bell of Clarksville, and David Halton of Naples, FL; daughters Linda Skaggs and husband Allen of Clarksville and Frances Elaine Wickham of Palmyra; and sister, Artie Bell Smothers of Joelton. He was the proud grandfather of twelve grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
