William Barnes

Mr. William Earl Barnes, age 77 of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Spencer Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Barnes Cemetery with full military honors.
The Barnes family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday afternoon.
William entered this life on August 31, 1939 in Houston County, TN, son to the late William Richard and Ella Jane Schmidt Barnes. William proudly served his country in the United States Army where he served during the Korean War. William loved his family and had a love for singing and playing his guitar.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by brothers, Reuben Barnes, and Clifford Ray Barnes.
Survivors include his loving children, John Regan Barnes, Paula Barnes Long (Terry), William Erby Barnes; sisters, Dorothy Inez Dyer, Wilma G. Montague; and granddaughter, Autie Jane Barnes.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
