Will Aaron Thomas, age 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 7, 2024.

Celebration of Life and Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Living Word International Church, 959 Tiny Town Road, Clarksville, TN. Bishop Richard Woodson, Jr. will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Living Word International Church and again on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the church.

Mr. Thomas will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, in Hopkinsville, KY.

He entered this life on June 3, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late William Thomas and Willie Mae Reese Thomas. Will's service to his country was a cornerstone of his life. He dedicated 24 years to the United States Army, most notably, serving in Vietnam. Will's expertise as a skilled aircraft electrician and his specialization in aircraft armament exemplified his commitment and technical proficiency, earning him the respect of his peers and superiors alike. Beyond his military achievements, his professional journey was marked by his exceptional skills and unwavering dedication. As a businessman and a skilled salesman, he was the proud owner of multiple enterprises, including Thomas Stone, where he played a pivotal role in pioneering advancements in the epoxy resin industry. Will also led a successful career with DynCorp, where he retired after 20 years of dedicated employment. His entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with his profound understanding of the market, allowed him to succeed in ways that inspired many.

Will was not only an accomplished professional and a devoted soldier, but he was also a beloved Elder at Living Word International Ministries in Clarksville. He embraced his role with warmth and sincerity, touching countless hearts through his faith, leadership, and generosity. His presence in the ministry was a source of guidance and inspiration for many, fostering a sense of belonging and community among congregants.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Will Aaron Thomas II; daughter, Sharlene Conkleton, and sister, Rosalee Thomas.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Bessie M. Thomas; children, Lloyd T. Thomas (Isabel), Juanita Thomas, and Julius Thomas; grandchildren, Latisha Barnett, Jessika Thomas, Janay Thomas, Torrey Taylor, Kiara Thomas, and Julius Thomas II; great-grandchildren, Mycale, Carla, Sharlene II, Josiah, Torrey Jr., Kamari, Railynn, and Amela. Will also leaves behind his siblings, Lucile Thomas, James Thomas, and Paralee Ward, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Deacons and members of Living Word International Church will serve as pallbearers.
