James Wilbur Mahon, 73, of Seymour, Indiana, formerly of Clarksville, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Military honors will be rendered. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. James was born March 15, 1938 in Montgomery Co., Tennessee, son of Walter Eugene and Doris Parker Mahon. He was retired from Trane Co. and was a tobacco farmer, was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceding him in death are his sons John Wilbur Mahon and Dale Wayne Mahon, and brothers Eugene and Douglas Mahon. Survivors include his son, James Mahon, and daughter Rhonda (Donald) Brown, both of Cunningham, brothers J.B. Mahon, and Randy Suiter, caretaker and great-niece Tesa and Joey Asher, nieces and nephews Charles and Dori Scheible of Seymour, IN, Gene Mahon of Indianapolis, Shirley Michaels of Shelbyville, IN, thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
