W.C. "Bootsie" Bass

W.C. (Bootsie) Bass, 83, Cunningham, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at Palmyra Health Care Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
W.C. was born April 16, 1928 in Montgomery County, son of Theo and Wilma Shelton Bass. He was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Bill Michael Bass and Joel Watson Bass. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Hodges Bass, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Britt, Danny Britt, Jeffery Britt, Paul Elrod, John Robert Underwood, Clyde Karnes, and Johnny Harris.
