Wayne Adams, Sr., age 74, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Page will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
He was born on May 13, 1943 in Prattville, AL, son to the late Grover and Earlene Adams. Wayne was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He enjoyed Tennessee Senior Traveling Golf, and fishing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Adams. Survivors include his loving wife, Sue McLean Adams; sons, Maurice Adams, Jr., William Adams; step-son, Michael Welch; daughters, Rhonda Smith, Amy Adams; step-daughter, Angelia Bailey; brother, Cleve Murray; sister, Delores Murray; grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Christopher Smith, Samantha Adams, Tyler Adams, and Timothy Adams; step-grandchildren, Kristen Bailey, Baylee Welch, Skyler Welch, and Benson Welch. Pallbearers will be Jason Fowler, Cleve McLean, Joey McLean, Wally Horn, Francesco Tornberg, Matt Smith, Chris Smith, and Jeff Stagner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Aseracare Hospice.
