Warren "Yvonne" Moore, age 94 of Nashville, TN, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020, at McKendree Village in
Hermitage, TN.
Private graveside services will be held at Moore Cemetery with Rev. Justin Warren officiating.
Yvonne Moore was kind, happy, loved life, and greatly enjoyed travel. Her adventures took her from the Great Pyramids of Egypt to the beaches of Hawaii to the legendary cities of Europe; she missed little! Yvonne was also a devout Christian lady of great faith and a loyal church member. She served as Treasurer for Donelson Church of the Nazarene for many years where she was a valued parishioner and a friend to all. In later life, she was a faithful member of Nashville Grace Church of the Nazarene, where many of her family attended. To her nieces and nephews, she was everyone's favorite aunt! Although Yvonne grew up in Erin, Tennessee, shortly after high school graduation she moved to Nashville and attended business school. She began her working career at Mayes Hosiery Mill, but she soon transitioned to be the bookkeeper at Thompson and Green Machinery, a heavy equipment sales organization, where she worked until retirement. Yvonne was a gifted seamstress, making clothes for herself and nieces, and doing alterations for anyone who needed her expertise. She had a strong love of history and did volunteer work at historic sites like the Hermitage. In addition, she was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mostly, she was a lover of all things chocolate, but was always eager to share with anyone who came to see her.
To all who knew her, we loved her and she will be greatly missed.Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Carlisle Moore and Beulah Florence (Adams) Moore, her two brothers, Woodrow Moore and Paul Moore, as well as two sisters, Mary Frances Meryman, and Laura Sue Hiatt. She is survived by one sister, Aie Ruth Walker and many nieces, nephews and their families.
