Warren Black

Warren Gaylen Black, 57, Cumberland Furnace, died Sunday, October 19, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Delbert Homol and Rev. James Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born September 7, 1951 in Montgomery County and was preceded in death by his father, Barney LeRoy Black. Mr. Black was a retired funeral director and embalmer and a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother Anna Belle Dawson Black, Cumberland Furnace; son, Quinton (Jessica) Daniel Black; granddaughters, Kaylie and Chloe Black. Pallbearers will be Arnold Hodges, Jeff Akin, Randy Dawson, Robert Cook, Jamie Coggins, Jonathan Jensen and Charles Staton Black.
