Wanda Faye Wyatt Jackson, also known as Nona, age 82 of Dover, TN, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at her home in Dover.
A Celebration of Life Service with Bro. Gary Dacus will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Wyatts Chapel Community Church (formerly Wyatts Chapel UMC). The family will receive friends from 11:00 until the hour of service on Saturday. A meal will be served after the service.
Faye entered this life on March 24, 1941 in Stewart County TN, daughter to Bishop D. Wyatt and “Mag” Butts.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Faye was preceded in death by her brother Charles Douglas Wyatt.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, James “Jim” Jackson, daughters; Scarlette Baggett Lomax (Donnie), Jamie Jackson Miller (Joe), grandchildren; Bishop Futrell (Cassie), Laramie Lomax (Bobby), Hilliary Trinkle-Wynn (Brandon), Jackson Heflin, and Ernee Webb. She also leaves behind her dear great-grandchildren Braylon Wynn, Koy Manners and Maggie Mae Futrell. She also leaves behind her dear caregiver; Jordan Levester.
Faye was a long-time member of Wyatt’s Chapel Community Church (formerly Wyatt’s chapel UMC), an active member of the Stewart County Historical Society, and a member of Daughters of The American Revolution. She was also an avid researcher of genealogical history, and helped many families in Stewart County and the surrounding counties with their family trees.
Faye was also a long time operator at Bell South, and a secretary at Acme Boot Company, but in her later years she did the work that she as most proud of, that is the work of a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
