Wanda Metheny

Wanda Maxine Metheny, 78, Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at St. Thomas Alive Hospice in Nashville. The funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Verlon Moore and Rev. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born July 7, 1929 in Risco, MO, daughter of Arnold M. Smith and Florence Elizabeth Pearce Smith. Mrs. Metheny worked as a bookkeeper for Zales Jewelers and was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. She leaves behind her husband, Noah Eugene Metheny, Clarksville; son, Gary Eugene Metheny, Greensboro, NC; daughter, Carol Ann Gyulai, Fremont, CA; grandchildren, Stefeni Gyulai, Fremont, CA, Chaundra Metheny and Akila Metheny, both of Greensboro, NC.
