Wanda Faye Jones Black, age 76, of Southside, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 9, 2018. She passed at home while surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Poston officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Miller's Chapel Cemetery.
Wanda's family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 12 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Wanda entered into this life on September 8, 1942 in Clarksville to the late Roger and Lorene Batson Jones. She was a deeply caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved serving the Lord and was a member of Miller's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church for 44 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Jones, Jr. Survivors include her devoted husband of 52 years, Rev. James E. Black; children, Elizabeth (Michael) McIntosh and Russell (Shirley) Black; grandchildren, Amber (Chad) Choate and David McIntosh; and her great granddaughter, Avery Mae Choate (Sweet Pea), all of Southside. She is also survived by her sisters, Geneva Minton of Clarksville, Linda Nugent of Wilmington, IL, and Sheila Jones, Willmington, IL.
Pallbearers will be David McIntosh, Chad Choate, Kevin Shaver, Timmy Swaw, Tony Davis, and Wayne Campbell.
