Walter Lee Woods, age 73 of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at his sister’s home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Penrod officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
Walter was born on September 15, 1943 in Knoxville, TN, the son of the late Walter William Woods and Roxie Kidd. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Cynthia Clary Woods; daughters, Melinda Lee Woods and Leddie Woods; brothers, Ronnie Woods and Edward Woods. He worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by his sons, Wesley Walter Woods and Raymond Austin (Angela) Woods; sister, Martha Woods Burkhart; sister-in-law’s, Kenne-Jean Irby and Kathy Woods; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Walter Woods, Raymond Austin Woods, Tony Brekee, Sam Houston, Thomas Payne, Robert Larocque, and Kurt Braun.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter at 616 N. Spring Street, Clarksville, TN 37040 and/or the Humane Society at 940 Tennessee Avenue, Clarksville, TN 37040.
