Virginia Meacham Baggett Smith

Virginia Meacham Baggett Smith, age 83, of Cumberland Furnace, Tn passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at her home.

Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and again on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Virginia entered this life on January 28, 1940, in Christian county, Kentucky to the late  J.E. Meachum and Mildred Henderson Meachum. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, Ky.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, JW Baggett, and second husband, Frank Smith.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Baggett and Danny T Baggett; daughters, Nora (Susie) Shrewsbury, Annie C. Baggett; step-daughter, Evelyn (Warren) Turner; step-son, David (Teresa) Smith; grandchildren, Pamela Davenport, Johnny Archer, Michael Paul Baggett, Brandy Black, Daniel Lee Clark, Christy Lynn Steele, Justin Lee Clark, Sadie Jo Baggett, Cully Baggett, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Louis Bassett, Jr., Jonathan Steele, Lewis Steele, Steven Davenport, Warren Cruz, Justin Clark, Michael Paul Baggett, and Andrew Baggett.
