Virginia Hurley

Virginia Ruth Hurley, age 86, of Cumberland City, TN passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. (EST) Monday, November 27, 2023 at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, Georgia. Her nephew, Deacon Johnny Davis will officiate.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Cumberland City First Baptist Church.

Virginia entered this life on October 18, 1937, in Pitts, Georgia to the late Pope and Alice Owens Johnson. She was a member of Cumberland City First Baptist Church and the Ajax Turner Senior Citizen Center. Virginia was also a Girl Scout leader and involved with both Home Demonstration Club and Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her son, Mark A. Hurley (Maria); daughter, Toni Denise Hurley; grandchildren, Anthony Hurley, Giovanni Moldiz, Elsa Moldiz, Meagan Anthony, Derrick Hurley, Patrick Hurley, Michael Fouts, Leighlan Fouts, Sarah Bosler, and Rose Burney, and great-grandchildren, Gypsy, Genie, William, Blake, Hunter, Brynn, Freya, Lilah, Evalis, Kaiden, Donna, Kobe, and Lexa. Virginia was the honorary grandmother and mother to many who loved and adored her. She will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ajax Turner Senior Citizen Center.
