Virginia Griffy

Virginia W. Griffy, 94, Clarksville, died Sunday, January 3, 2010, at Grace Health Care. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Bro. Roy Goodmiller officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 noon Tuesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born December 12, 1915 in Montgomery County, daughter of William Wooten and Tinzis Chester Wooten. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Griffy, Sr., and her brother, Wilbur Wooten. Mrs. Griffy was retired from the BF Goodrich Company and was a member of Madison Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, Hubert Lee (Linda) Griffy, and grandchildren Joseph Lee Griffy, Kent Griffy, Steve Griffy, and Karen Blick, all of Clarksville, eleven great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Great-grandchildren Jacob Griffy, Joshua Griffy, Richard Griffy, Joe Griffy, Adam Blick, and Johnathan Blick will serve as pallbearers.
