Virginia Gillespie

Virginia E. Gillespie, age 73, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jamie Mandrell officiating. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Virginia was born on February 15, 1945 in Tazewell County, Virginia. She was retired from a career in food service and was a supportive and loving Army wife to her husband, the late SFC (Ret) Earnest Gillespie. Virginia was a Christian.
In addition to Earnest, she was preceded in death by her mother, Blanche Clyburn Dillon and her brother, Elwood Clyburn. Survivors include her children, Earnest Gillespie, Jr. (Carol), Leonard Lee Gillespie, and Vivian Gillespie Leavell; grandchildren, Beth Leavell Young (Marc), Chad Leavell, and Trey Gillespie; and her great grandson, Liam Young.
