Virginia (Genny) Brake

Virginia (Genny) S. Brake, 85, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. John Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Genny was born April 21, 1927 in Houston County, Tennessee, daughter of Benjamin L. Schmidt and Edith Nash Schmidt. She was a homemaker, a member of World Wide Grace Fellowship, and a member of the Ajax Turner Senior Citizens Center.
Preceding Genny in death are her parents, and her brothers, Wilson and Fred Schmidt.
Survivors include her devoted husband, William C. (Bill) Brake of Clarksville, her loving son, Mark C. Brake of Old Hickory, TN, her brothers, Lee Schmidt of Reseda, CA, Louis D. Schmidt of Tennessee Ridge, and Roy E. Schmidt of Murray, KY, and her sisters, Dovie L. Muncy of Nashville and Dean Rye of Erin.
Pallbearers will be Josh Bateman, David Kennedy, Chris Phillips, Aaron Finch, Joey Brake, and Rabon Brake.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37203 and to AseraCare Hospice, 1539 Ashland City Rd, Clarksville, TN 37040.
