Virginia Lee Coleman, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. S.N. "Sonny" Kim officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Virginia entered into this life on June 30, 1930, daughter of the late Bessie and Joe Nelson. She was a member of the church family at Forest Street United Methodist Church and retired from Acme Boot Company following 25 years of dedicated service.
In addition to her parents Virginia was preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy and Charles Nelson and sisters, Mildred Moss, Martha Leslie, and Emma Dee Graham.
Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Donald Coleman; her daughter Judy (Jerry) Bryant; grandson, Justin (Charity) Bryant; two wonderful great grandchildren and the apples of her eye, Mason and Madison Bryant; sister Edie Summers; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Virginia lived for her family and cared deeply for her church family. She will be sorely missed.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Summers, Larry Nelson, Ricky Rittenberry, Gary Guy, Tyler Guy, Ricky Cato, Josh Rittenberry, and Steve Smith.
In lieu of flowers memorials made be made to the Forest Street United Methodist Church.
