Virginia Seay Burney, 87, Clarksville, died Saturday, October 2, 2010, at her home. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Forney officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born November 1, 1922 in Montgomery Co., TN, daughter of Lewis Marion and Lillian Walthal Seay. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers M.A. Seay, Malcolm Seay, Arthur Seay, and Morris Seay, and sister Alma Carter. Virginia was a retired bookkeeper for Royal Cleaners and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include sons Hunter (Kathy) Burney, Thomas (Rhonda) Burney, and Jesse (Jane) Burney, all of Clarksville, daughter Margaret Burney-Puckett of Nashville, brother Clyde Seay of Trenton, KY, sisters Ruby Binkley of Greensburg, IN, Marian Bouldin of Guthrie, KY, Sarah Faulkner of Pembroke, KY, Barbara Crouch of Trenton, KY, and Faye DeLozier of Trenton, KY, grandchildren Hunter Spivay, Scott Powell, Martie Turner, Stacey Burney, Erin Roman, Matthew Singer, Justin Burney, Ali Stewart, Jaclyn Burney, Cale Burney, and Chelsea Burney, and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Justin Burney, Cale Burney, Matt Singer, Glen Stewart, Phil Faulkner, and Pat DeLozier. Scott Powell will serve as honorary pallbearer.
