Virginia Bates

Virginia Bates, age 82, Clarksville went to be with the Lord, Friday June 24, 2011 at Fiieldstone.
Graveside services will be 11 AM Monday June 27, 2011 at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Felts Dent officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bates was born August 21, 1928 in Clarksville, TN the daughter of the late J. Hill Jones and Inez Pearl Jones.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Bates and a sister, Lucille Bourne. Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church and a graduate of the 1946 class of Clarksville High School, and attended Austin Peay State College.
Virginia is survived by her sons, Richard Bates and Ken Bates of Durango,CO and Ronald Bates of Denver,CO Sister Sarah Bates of Murfreesboro, TN and 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Longtime friends, Christel W. Griffin, Charlie and Etta Dean, Mary Jo Winters and Wanda M> Brenzil.
