Vernon Rye

Vernon Rye - 1925 Thomas Vernon Rye, 83, McEwen, died Friday, November 20,2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 2pm Sunday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.Ray Mayo officiating. Burial will be in Sinks Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 3pm till 8pm Saturday and from 11am till service Sunday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr.Vernon went to be with the Lord November 20, 2009 at his residence.He was preceded in death by his wife Nelvia Gene Sinks Rye, parents Johnie Edward Rye and Louise McClain Rye, two brothers Ray Edward Rye and Johnie Edward(Pete)Rye Jr. He was a member and deacon of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include one son Russell(Joyce)Rye of Dickson,Tn.four daughters Barbara(Bobby)Norfleet, Rita(Carroll)Baggett, Verna Faye(Larry)Odom, Marcia(James)Henderson all of Erin,Tn.two brothers J.M.Rye and Tilton Rye both of Waverly,Tn.two sisters Mary Lou Dobbins and Betty Jo Mathis both of Erin,Tn. 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family.
