Paul Vernon “Hossfly” Ross, age 75 of Erin, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. David Steppee officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery with military honors.
The Ross family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday morning. Masonic rites will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Vernon entered this life on September 28, 1940 in Erin, TN, son to the late William and Bessie Attrice Wheatley Ross. Vernon proudly served his country in the United States Army, was a faithful member of Arlington Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a masonic member of Wisdom Lodge #300, and a lifelong member of Al Menah Shriners International.
In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Eugene “Bob” Ross; and sister, Shirley Jean Brzezicki.
Survivors include loving sisters, Gearldean Mathis, Betsy Hagler, Jeanette Baggett; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Perigo, Tracy Reeder, Randy Gill, Ray Elliot, Carl Perigo, and Tony Brzezcki. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Terry Lewis, and Ramey Averitt.
