Velma Long

Velma Wheeler Powell Long passed away March 7, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 9, 1935 in Nachtee, Fl. daughter of the late Lloyd Carroll Wheeler and Zola Irene Barrs Wheeler. She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Kathy Powell. Visitation will be from 2:30pm until 8pm Friday at Nave Funeral Home. The family will have a dinner at 12 noon at Bethel Church with visitation at 1pm and service at 2pm at the Church in Ga. with Bro. Pate officiating.Burial will be in Carter Cemetery in Lake Park, GA. Survivors include five sons Ray Powell of Ashland City, Tn. Robert Powell of Broadhead, Wi. Tommy Powell of Lebanon, Tn. Henry Powell of Land-O-Lakes, Fl. Emory Powell of Tn. Ridge, Tn. three brothers Cliff Wheeler of Port Charlotte, FL. Ray Wheeler of Arcadia, FL. Lloyd Wheeler of Statenville, Fl. one sister Vivian Pamer of Jasper, Fl. sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
