Tyler Corte Barrett, age 48 of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Hilldale Baptist Church with Revs. Jim Arrington, Linda Thompson, and Chaplain Modesto Martinez officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hilldale Baptist Church and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
Tyler was born on January 15, 1967 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the son of Michael and Peggy Holt Barrett. He was preceded in death by his father.
He was a detective with the Clarksville Police Department and the President of the Clarksville Police Union. He was a member and Lay Speaker at Hickory Point United Methodist Church. Tyler was the former wrestling coach at Northwest High School and volunteered as a wrestling coach at Clarksville High School.
Tyler is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Jones Barrett; daughters, Chelsie, Sara, Megan and Michaela Barrett; mother, Peggy Holt Barrett; sister, Laura (Timmy) Mann; paternal grandfather, Jack Dalaba and maternal grandmother, Martha Holt; half-sister, Kim Mather-Neill; brother-in-law, Troy (Tammy) Jones; nieces, Rachael and Rebecca Mann, Torrie Jones; nephews, Colby and Coltyn Jones.
Pallbearers will be Jason Holt, Bert Clinard, Darrell Holt, Troy Jones, Kyle Ranallo, Timmy Mann, Nicholas Newman, and Kevin Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be Phil Holt, Robert Griffey, Blake Holt, Erik Ranallo, Michael Hampton, Keith Haynes, Bert Singleterry, Robert Proctor, and current and past members of the Clarksville Police family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clarksville Police Department Shop with a Cop Program.
