John Truman Brooks, age 82 of Erin, TN, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. David Steppee officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The Brooks family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday afternoon.
Truman entered this life on July 8, 1936 in Houston County, TN, son to the late Grigsby and Maggie Alsobrooks Brooks.
Survivors include his loving children, Vincent Brooks, Jill Brooks; Charlie Brooks, brothers, Terry Brooks, Charles Brooks; and sisters, Bonnie Warfield , Wanda Parker six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Warfield, James Warfield, Curtis Gant, Eddie Brooks, Larry Odom, and Brian Welker.
