Donald Anthony "Tony" Fertitta, born on August 14, 1956, in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on April 9, 2025, in Clarksville, Tennessee, surrounded by his loving family. Tony touched the lives of many through his work and personal endeavors.
Tony was a dedicated professional who worked in various business roles throughout his life, most notably as a business owner and entrepreneur. He proudly owned and operated the PODS storage franchise in Charlotte, NC for 20 years before he retired in 2020. His commitment to excellence and his entrepreneurial spirit were hallmarks of his career, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike. His educational journey began at Father Ryan High School in Nashville, where he graduated in 1974. He continued his studies at Tennessee Tech and later graduated from UT Martin with a Bachelor’s degree in 1980. This foundation of knowledge and determination propelled him through his career. Above all, Tony cherished his role as a father. He was a proud parent to his two children, Nicholas Fertitta and Isabella Fertitta, with whom he shared a deep bond. His love for family extended to the many adventures and memories they created together, showcasing his passion for the outdoors through camping and hiking, with a special fondness for the mountains.
Tony is survived by his children, Nicholas and Isabella Fertitta, as well as the mother of his children, Susan NeCastro Hansen. He also leaves behind his sister, Deborah Fertitta (Tom Croffut) and sister-in-law, Linda, and his nieces, Lisa Fertitta, Adriane Fertitta Sanders, and Elizabeth Parker.
Those family members that have already passed on are his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Ulrich Fertitta, and his brother, Joseph Fertitta, who died just shortly after Tony's passing. Their legacy of love and values lives on in their family.
A gathering of friends and family will take place at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The Celebration of Life will begin at the same location at 10:30 AM.
Tony Fertitta will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his unwavering dedication to his family and his zest for life.
