Tom Brewer

Mr. Maury Thomas "Tom" Brewer, 86, of Tennessee Ridge, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Patients Choice Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Erin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Wallace officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until just prior to the hour of service Tuesday at Nave Funeral Home, Erin. Burial will be in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
He was born November 10, 1922 in Big Sandy, TN, son of the late Edmund Brewer and Thelma Cantrell Brewer. He was a member of Erin United Methodist Church, Retired Teachers Assoc. , VFW, American Legion, a past President of the Erin Rotary Club, Golden Agers, and FFA. He was also a veteran of the Army Air Corps and a P.O.W.
Survivors include his wife Mary Bee Brewer of Tennessee Ridge, daughters Lisa (Bobby) Ekers of Clarksville and Kim (Ed) Gambill of Brentwood, grandchildren Lauren Coleman and Tyler Coleman, and great-grandchild Jacob Coleman.
Members of his Sunday School Class will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Erin United Methodist Church, 40 W. Walnut St., Erin, TN 37061.
