Tokuko Burns, 81, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at Walking Horse Meadows, Clarksville, Tennessee.
The remains are to be cremated. Mrs. Burns will be interred along with her husband, SFC (Ret) Terence Burns in Beverly National Cemetery, Edgewater Park, New Jersey.
She was born June 15, 1930 in Yokohama, Japan, daughter of the late Kamejiro and Hatsu Kohara. She was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Survivors include her daughters and their spouses, June and John Horensky of Washington, NJ, Doris and Mark Griffith of Swansboro, NC, Angela and Joseph Cummiskey of Marlton, NJ, and Debra and Robert Mangone of Clarksville, her grandchildren, Jennifer, John, and Amanda Horensky, Daniel and Scott Griffith, Melissa Cummiskey, and Alexander Mangone, siblings Kintaro Kohara and his wife Keneko, Zentaro Kohara (deceased) and his wife Setsuko, Hachiro Kohara (deceased), Junko Sano and her husband Mitsuhiro, Nobuhiro Kohara and his wife Sachiko, Masako Torige and her husband Yasuo.
