Thomas Wilber Hollis, 76, Cumberland Furnace, died Monday, August 10, 2009, at Centennial Medical Center, Nashville. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Chambers Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. He was born May 22, 1933 in Dickson County and was the son of the late Thomas N. and Vernie Lewis Hollis. He is preceeded in death by wife, Betty Lou Self Hollis. Mr. Hollis was a U.S. Army Veteran, a farmer and retired from Trane Company. Survivors include his sons, Gary T. (Rachel) Hollis, David W. (Debbie) Hollis, Dwayne (Debbie) Hollis, all of Cumberland Furnace, TN; daughter, Teresa (John) Duzan, Cunningham; brothers, James Hollis, Cunningham, Roy Wendell Hollis, McKinnon, William Lester Hollis, Cumberland Furnace; sister, Dixie Bell Bowen, Abeline, KS; grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Hollis, Rhonda Hollis, Adam Thomas Hollis; great-grandchildren, Jackson Cole Hollis, Alexis Reed, Hailey Reed and Jacob Reed. Pallbearers will be Nathan Wood, Steve Armstrong, Jeffrey Hollis, Jackie Hodges, William Earl Hutchison, Billy Hodges, Phillip Chambers, James (Bubba) Greene and Benny Kennedy.
