Thomas Jefferson Fain, Jr., age 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Proctor officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rye's Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Thomas entered into this life on February 26, 1928 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, one of ten children to the late Thomas J. Fain, Sr. and Martha Rye Christy Fain. He was a longtime member of Carpenter's Local #223 and enjoyed spending his time outdoors, working on cars, ginseng hunting, and especially fishing. He was a member of Grace Chapel Nazarene.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Florence Fain. Survivors include his children, Timmy Fain and wife Linda, Anthony Fain and wife Sandra, and Connie Mays and husband Loren, and was the proud grandfather of twelve and great grandfather of ten.
Pallbearers will be Lindsey Fain, Dean Fain, Terry Fain, Bret Davis, Taylor Lyttle, and Ryan Biter.
