Terry Allen Becknell, age 62 of Clarksville, TN., passed June 20, 2017.
A Celebration of life will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will take place 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West.
Born to parents Billie J. Maxfield Becknell and Kenneth Becknell on June 23, 1954 at Keokee Va. Terry graduated from Keokee High School in May of 1973. He enlisted in the US Army and went to Ft. Knox, Ky., in June 1973 for basic training.
After basic training, he came to Ft. Campbell, Ky., until the spring of 1977. Then it was on to Ft. Belvoir, Va., until June of 1979 when he was honorably discharged. Upon leaving the military he came back to Ft. Campbell, Clarksville area to live and work.
He worked at R.B. Lester Wholesale Co. as a truck driver, later going to work at Ft. Campbell as a heavy equipment operator for 27 years.
Survivors include, his loving wife Charlotte married for 44 years. His two brothers Kenny Becknell, wife Rhonda of Portland, Tn., and Charles Becknell, wife Lori of Lebanon Ohio. One sister Lisa Becknell and Gordon Medlin of Keokee Va. One nephew Jared Becknell of Lebanon Ohio. One niece Meredith Blankenship of Bowling Green, Ky., and one great nephew Calvin.
He is also survived by a host of uncles and cousins living in Cincinnati, Ohio.
His passion in life was bass fishing, some would say he would rather fish then eat. He made friends easily and never met a stranger. He loved life, his many friends, and all his family. He was of the Baptist Faith.
