Sylvia Fay Byard, 72, of Palmyra, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Signature Health Care of Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Steele officiating. Burial will follow in the Jarmon-Rives Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Sylvia was born August 27, 1939 in Montgomery County, daughter of Sidney and Lucille Hughes. She was a seamstress and a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Floyd Lee Hughes. Survivors include her sons Robert Earl Byard and his wife Tammy of Palmyra, Christopher Byard and his wife Cheri of Clarksville, and Randall Byard and his wife Kendra of Palmyra; daughters Cynthia Byard of Clarksville and Teresa Allison and her husband Andy of Clarksville; brother Earl Hughes of Alaska; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
