Steven Huntley Kent, 56, Clarksville, slipped away from these earthly bonds on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jean-Baptiste Kyabuta officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors following the funeral. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Rosary will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kent was born March 5, 1953 in Washington D.C. to Lois Anne and Bion H. Kent. His mother Lois preceded his departure and was waiting for him at the gate. Those of us who must go on without him for awhile are his father Bion Kent, his wife Donna Riddell-Kent, daughters Jean Jimenez, Leesburg, VA and Jennifer Alvear and granddaughter Emma, Lexington, KY. Also, his brothers David and Mike Kent and sister Kate Kent-Wolfe of Denver, CO. Mr. Kent is a Vietnam era veteran and served both as an enlisted soldier and then later as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force. He held a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. He worked as a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor, a school bus driver in Washington, D.C.and Richmond, KY. He was a counselor for Mentally Handicapped adults, and before his M.S. forced him to become bedridden, he worked as a realtor for Century 21 in Oak Grove, KY. Pallbearers will be Michael Kent, Jean Kent-Jimenez, Ricardo Jimenez Jr., Mike Alvear, John Wolfe, Mike Sprague and Joe Brockman. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. We all miss you! As Steve would say "catchya on the flip side...we gone!"
