SSG (Ret) Steven Michial Clark, age 61, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July, 11, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Chaplain Rob Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Full military honors will be rendered.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Steven entered this life on April 25, 1953 in Hillsboro, Oregon, son of JW Clark and Florence Sumler Haltmar. Steven was retired from a military career with the U.S. Army in which he had attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a proud veteran of both Vietnam and Desert Storm and belonged to the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Maureen Clark; his mother, Florence Haltmar; children, Steven Michael Clark, Anthony Galindo and Maureen Trefethen; sisters, Evelyn Hamilton and Judy Clark and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the homeless veterans in his memory, in care of Operation Stand Down Nashville (In Support of Clarksville), 1125 12th Ave. South, Nashville, TN 37203.
