Steven Bloss, 58, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at his home in Clarksville, Tennessee.
His remains are to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date in New York. Locally, the family will be receiving friends at the Bloss home in Clarksville from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012.
Steven was born September 30, 1954 in Watertown, NY, the son of the late Wayne Ray Bloss and Betty Jane Ball Bloss. Steven was a truck driver with over forty years of service in the trucking industry. Most recently, he hauled for Wal-Mart out of Marcy, NY and Hopkinsville, KY. He was close to recieving his 2 million mile safe driver award and participated in Wal-Mart truck rodeos. He was also a member of the Trucker Buddy Program.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pamela Bloss of Clarksville; his mother-in-law, Bev Acfalle; his children, John Bloss of Binghampton, NY, Nichole Bloss of Virginia, and Kyle and Amanda Bloss of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Chance and Vivian Bloss; sisters, Leona Smith and husband Bob of Harsens Island, MI, Patricia Merger of Minersville, PA, and Marie Carter and husband Randy of Copenhagen, NY; brother, Bill Bloss and wife Debi of Tacoma, WA; daughter-in-law Kimberly Pietras; and several nieces and nephews.
