Stephen Ward Rainbolt, 64, Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at his home. A Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2011 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Stephen was born July 23, 1947 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, son of Thomas and Nina Bolton Rainbolt. He was a retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant having served in the Vietnam Conflict and was a former member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie (Moody) Rainbolt of Clarksville, daughters, Angela Rodgers of Leroy, IL, Deanna Kelly of Bloomington, IL, and Jennifer Gilstrap of Clarksville, son, Stephen F. Rainbolt (Sally) of Clarksville, grandchildren Tayler Race, Erin Race, Lacie Woodley, Sophie Gulledge, Eryn Rodgers, Dakota Kelly, Hank Kelly, Jared Day, and Melissa Day, and great-grandchildren Madelynn Day and Riley White.
