Stephen Francis Perry age 58, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2022, at his home in Marietta, GA.
A private family service will be held at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Stephen was born July 28, 1963 in Munich, Germany, to the late Col. Ronald C. Perry and Laura Diane Perry. He was a 1981 graduate of Martin County High School, who as class president performed an on-stage back flip at graduation.
Stephen trained in gymnastics with two time Olympic gold medalist, Bart Conner, for the 1980 Summer Olympics to be held in Moscow before the games were boycotted.
Mr. Perry was a Graphic design major and cheerleader at The University of Tennessee.
His studies led him to a challenging career as an Information Architect for several fortune 500 companies (Apple, Amazon, IBM…). Stephen was fun, energetic, brilliant, and exceptionally creative.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Cedric Perry.
He is survived by his beloved husband Scott Johns, brothers Jeffrey Perry (Joan) and Michael Perry, sisters Laurie Hadley (Wade) and Carol Armistead (Jimmy). Stephen also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Lisa, Laura, Brian, Wade, Sarah, Sandy, Cedric, Samantha, and Anna.
