SSG (Ret) Murit Elwood Emery

SSG (Ret) Murit Elwood Emery, age 73, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at his home.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Murit entered this life on August 26, 1951 in Madison, Indiana to the late Lucien Emery and Alice Noes Jones. He was a retired Veteran of The United States Army after honorably serving from 1971 to 1991. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. Murit was also member of Memory Lane Cruisers and a Baptist.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant twin boys, Timothy and Thomas, as well as his siblings, Elijah Jones, Timmie Robinson, Barbara Ross, Debra Lovelle, and Frances Hale.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemarie Emery; daughter, Annebelle (Mark) Pittenger; granddaughter, Lindsey Chester; siblings, Roger Jones and Bennie Rae Schafer, and niece, Erika Ross.
